A Photoshoot with Miss Heather

We're in the works on our second erotic comic set in the Omega City universe at Mall of Erotica, and for this one I needed to find a model who was mature (40+), fit, and comfortable with being in a superheroine outfit and then subsequently out of said superheroine outfit. ;)

Enter the gorgeous Miss Heather, a Winnipeg-based, adult masseuse with 34F beautifully-sculpted breasts who had contacted me back in 2012 about doing modelling for Mall of Erotica but things didn't work out then. When I needed to cast for my new comic she was who I thought of for the role of Bindella, the older half of a superheroine duo. I reconnected with her and delightfully she was on board with the project. She never had professional photos taken and I needed a headshot for some of the promotional material I"m working on so she invited me to her house for a photography session. Coincidentally she lived very close to a place I lived in a number of years ago, so I easily found my way to her quiet street and went up to her unassuming house.

Now as I've said before I've led a sheltered life, and while I've shot a few girls nude the actual number of naked women I've been around is quite low for someone who is technically a pornographer. So I was a little suprised when Heather answered the door wearing nothing but panties and a pink robe. But it wasn't nearly as surprising as when she introduced me to her husband who was in the room next to her dining room where we did most of the shooting! He was a super cool guy and helped her with her outfit changes between shots.

In the 2.5 hours we were shooting we took around 250 photos; less than what I normally take, which I'm interpreting as a sign that I'm getting better at photography. Indeed, the first few I've processed since yesterday look terrific:

Well I'm keeping those under wraps until the next comic is complete! Rest assured, not only will Miss Heather's character of Bindella have to bare her boobs, she will most likely be losing her panties, too! ;)

Big Things Coming

I've been silent on the website front for a few months as I've been involving myself in the local photography community in Winnipeg...building a skillset and networking with other photographers and models. It's been a very educational process, and as someone who is naturally introverted, it's been a very social one as well. I must say that it's strange to now be 35 but hanging around hot 19-24 year-olds that I never would have dreamed of being around when I was that age. I definitely wasted my youth!

This past weekend I got to participate in a group photoshop featuring implied nude models, and as luck would have it the beautiful, sexy, busty and super-cool Brandy Reicker was there, and I got to shoot her!

Even better was Brandy's interest in Mall of Erotica! We're currently in talks but there's a good chance that we're going to be seeing a LOT more of Brandy in the coming weeks (guess how the title "Big Things Coming" relates to her ;) )!

The month of March is going to see my first-ever erotica released for sale on MoE: an erotic photocomic (or as I like to call them "photoGraphic Novels"). I won't reveal any details yet, but the theme is going to superheroines and erotic humiliation, so stay tuned!

Organizing these shoots is hard work, especially now that I live outside of Winnipeg and studio space is very expensive. And when you're paying models too, you have to spend a fair bit of time saving up between shoots.

All that being said, I'm hoping my endeavours with this site start paying off and I can start buying better equipment or even try to get my hands on some dedicated space to shoot in.

4-Play & 5-Play at Aquarius

I finally did it! I am now a pornographer. :)

Back in July I did my first photoshoot with 4 kinky friends at Aquarius Bath House in Winnipeg. It was full amateur unscripted fun at its best!

Up until that point my education in photography had me taking photos of static subjects under controlled lighting conditions. My teacher told me that my photos were some of the best she's seen from a beginner. So with a well-inflated ego I took on the task of photographing Kitsune88, French Maid, Shelby, and Lylani while they had some BDSM fun at Aquarius. To be honest though, as an amateur photographer I think I bit off more than I could chew.

I had never been to Aquarius or any place like that before, so I was a little out of my element, nor was I expecting to meet Shelby and Lylani, two post-op transgendered women. Prior to them I had only met one transgendered woman (that I was aware of) briefly back in October 2012 at a Tortured Youth meeting and it took me awhile to acclimatize to the reality of it, and to correct myself from calling them "guys". The group immediately started stripping and tying each other up. Despite the nudity and the sexual mood of the room I was able to maintain composure and focus on getting the pictures. Only one time in the entire three-hour session did I find myself aroused.

Aquarius is a great place for naughty romps, but a photo studio it is not. The room we had was lit poorly (one light on a far wall). I brought one static soft box light with me, but there was only one outlet in the room so most of my photos were confined to that area. After talking to some other photographers (and comparing my photos to the pics taken by expose-ay in the same room 18 days later) I've decided that I definitely need a flash whose direction I can adjust.

The group was very active, flogging each other and playing, so I needed to use a faster shutter speed to capture the action, but the low light required a wider aperture,
introduce a lot of noise into my pictures. The room was also very hot, as we had to keep the door closed to prevent a lot of voyeurs from hanging around, requiring frequent water breaks.

I'm an introvert who doesn't deal well with social situations. The fact that I met new people in a strange place in a strange part of town and performed an activity I'm by no means an expert on and still ended up with some half-decent photos was a major accomplishment for me. I posted a few raw images up at fetlife and was sharply criticized for my lack of proper processing and framing (not to mention lighting and everything else). I've taken their criticisms as constructive and am going through the images and carefully altering each one to a more polished version. Once I get enough together I'll put it up on Mall of Erotica as 4-Play at Aquarius.

Kitsune88 and her friends invited me to photograph them again at Aquarius a few weeks later but I ended up getting sick and couldn't attend. In my place I sent veteran photographer expose-ay, who did an excellent job and was able to process his images much faster, thus 5-Play at Aquarius is up on Mall of Erotica first.
